In
Depth Studies and the Art of Teaching is
an inter-disciplinary, 15 month course and is much more
than a teacher training. The
program is for experienced yoga practitioners ready
to make a commitment to deepening their understanding
of yoga philosophy and postures. It is also for teachers
and aspiring teachers wanting to take what they know
in practice and learn the skills of teaching this timeless
tradition to others.
The Art of Teaching Course consists of:
• 13 weekends (Saturday & Sunday,
11-2 & 3-6 each day)
at 29 Harvard Street, Brookline Village
• 3 master teacher weekends
• 50 classes with Barbara Benagh
• home work

• Attendance
at 13 training weekends (Saturday and Sunday) led by Barbara
Benagh.
She will be co-teach Experiential Anatomy
for Yoga, a series of classes led by William Broder. William
will also teach Basic Sanskrit. Students may miss
no more than two weekends.
• Attendance at three weekends with
master teachers that can include weekends with Erich
Schiffmann, Sarah Powers that are sponsored by Barbara
or other teachers who have been approved by Barbara.
• Attendance at 50 asana classes
(approx. one per week) with Barbara Benagh during the
15 month course.
• Completion of home assignments
including home practice, reading, and writing.• Observe
or assist Barbara teaching a minimum of 10 times during
the course

with Barbara Benagh between October 1, 2007 – December
31, 2008
• Please add $250 for the Tuesday 2 hr. class
• Tuition for the 3 Master Teacher weekends
is not included and is due at registration upon enrollment
for each workshop.
• Reading materials are also not included.

A
$100 non-refundable fee is due with application. The balance
of $2900 is due upon acceptance to the program. (Major
Credit Cards are accepted). The fee can be made
in two payments of $1550; one due upon acceptance and
the second due by January 1, 2008. Please note that there is an additional fee of $100 if chosing the installment payment option.
Your commitment to this time consuming course is
required and appreciated.
Refunds for withdrawal must be made in writing and
are not guaranteed. Withdrawals will only be accepted
for documented health reasons.

Longtime
area yoga teacher, Barbara Benagh has
practiced and taught yoga for nearly 35 years. She discovered
yoga while living in England and began teaching there.
She moved to Boston and opened The Yoga Studio on Beacon
Hill in 1980. In 2005 Barbara moved across the river,
to Central Sq., Cambridge.
Her credentials as yoga student, teacher
and teacher of teachers are backed by experience. In
addition to her local classes Barbara continues to teach
yoga seminars around the world. She is a regular contributor
to Yoga Journal as a writer and presenter at Conferences. She
has several audio CDs of live classes available and 5
DVDs for Body Wisdom Media.
A past recipient of Best of Boston™ , Barbara teaches
technical, slow paced classes that are physically
challenging, expertly led, and meditative.

William Broder studied Linguistics at
Princeton and has taught languages, including Sanskrit,
for over 20 years. He has over 2000 hours of bodywork
training and is certified as a Feldenkrais Practitioner,
Rolfer, and Yoga Teacher. Whether teaching anatomy
or Sanskrit William has a gift for bringing these subjects
to life. |
